Liu Xiang transmigrates to the year 184 and activates a System that lets him copy the innate divine skills of his targets.
Just then, Zhang Jue is causing a rebellion, and Liu Yan of Youzhou posts a call for recruits.
"I was going to copy Cao Cao's divine skills, but unfortunately, there's no time."
Liu Xiang turns his gaze to a middle-aged man selling straw sandals by the roadside.
[Character: Liu Bei]
[Divine Skills: Escape, Method Acting, Forbearance, Indomitable…]
Liu Xiang promptly copies the divine skill "Method Acting." First, he recruits Guan Yu, who's selling dates on the street. Then, under the pretense of selling pork, he talks Zhang Fei into donating his family fortune.
In late March of 184, Liu Bei, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei swear brotherhood in the peach garden at Zhang Fei's manor.
"I, Liu Xiang!"
"I, Guan Yu!"
"And I, Zhang Fei!"
"We may not have been born on the same day, month, and year, but we pray to die on the same day, month, and year…"
"May we serve our country above and protect the common people below. Should we break this oath, may Heaven and humanity strike us down!"
