“Why are you wearing a wedding dress today, Yaoyao?”
“Because I'm here to marry you, Jiulang!”
“Then I'll take you up on that!”
Jiang Wanning, the legitimate daughter of the Vice Minister's household, lost her birth mother at a young age and was spoiled into becoming a fool by her stepmother.
Her stepmother finds her a fine match: Lu Jin, a poor scholar.
But Lu Jin makes good, and the emperor personally names him the top third-place graduate in the palace exams.
Wanning's younger sister is supposed to marry the second son of a marquis, but before the wedding, her fiancé gets his mistress pregnant.
Her stepmother and sister plot to switch the brides.
Jiang Wanning knows, but doesn't care.
She has a dream lover. For three years, they have met, grown close, and fallen in love in their dreams.
Apart from Jiulang in her dreams, all other men are the same to her.

On the second day after entering the marquis's household, she sees a man in a wheelchair in the garden.
“Greetings, Heir.”
No reply!
When she gets a good look at the man's face, Jiang Wanning turns and runs in fright.
Why is her dream lover here in real life?
“Why did you run away when you saw me, Yaoyao?”
Jiang Wanning says, “I didn't. I just... had something urgent to do.”
“You never used to treat me like this!”
“Is it because I'm in poor health that you look down on me?”
Can someone explain why he knows about her dreams?
When the heir's illness worsens, she can no longer sit back and finally reveals the medical skills she's kept hidden.
But he catches her hand. “Yaoyao, he isn't good enough for you.”
