Slay the Gods: Nine to Five, Twelve Talismans from the Start

[Slay the Gods] + [Jackie Chan Adventures] + [Nine-to-Five] + [System]

Su Yang wakes up to find that he has transmigrated into the world of Slay the Gods, becoming Chen Muye’s partner and Shao Pingge’s disciple. But he’s assigned to the Cangnan 136th Squad for a mission.

He was already a miserable wage slave in his previous life, so he has even less desire to get mixed up in work. There’s no way he’s doing his coworkers’ jobs for them, either. Luckily, he’s bound to a nine-to-five System. All he has to do is clock in and work an eight-hour day to receive System rewards: the abilities of the Twelve Talismans, as well as all kinds of mask rewards.

While Su Yang is busy trying to slack off on the job, his strength keeps growing stronger.

And so, Su Yang begins a life of constantly scheming up new ways to slack off. But the more effort he puts into skiving off, the more Chen Muye and the others think he’s amazing.

They just can’t stop praising him!

Chen Muye: “Su Yang, I was wrong to blame you just now. I failed to understand your methods.”

Lin Qiye: “You say you don’t have a Forbidden Void? That can’t be true. Bro, I’m begging you, teach me!”

Hong Ying: “Su Yang, how do you keep getting stronger without training at all?”

Su Yang: “It’s quitting time. You want me to keep working on the mission? Then I’d better get overtime pay and time off in lieu, and it still depends on whether I feel like doing it!”
