My Brother Turned into a Girl, and Now He’s Acting Awfully Suspicious Around Me

(One Female Lead) + (Everyday Life) + (No Angst) + (Yandere)

Half a year ago, on an afternoon of torrential rain, Su Bai’s best friend, Leng Xingzhuo, turned into a girl right in front of him.

Everyone forgot what she used to look like. Photos, memories, identity: the whole world’s perception of Leng Xingzhuo was quietly rewritten.

Only Su Bai remembered. He remembered that she used to be 178 centimeters tall, that she’d curse and fight him for pork belly, and that they’d walked the same campus paths countless times with their arms around each other’s shoulders.

But Leng Xingzhuo remembered even more.

She remembered the vow Su Bai made on the rooftop, when he said, “No matter what you look like, I’ll stay by your side.”

A certain obsession churned in those scarlet eyes. A cloying fragrance drifted from her hair, seeping bit by bit into Su Bai’s world.

From best friends to husband and wife, from standing face to face to leaning in, from walking with their arms around each other to skin against skin.

Once spoken, some promises become chains.

And some relationships have already crossed that line without a sound, over the course of a long companionship.

When the whole world forgets what you used to look like, I’m the only one who remembers.

But what I want you to remember has never been just the past.
