[Livestream comeback + career-focused female lead + multiple male leads in a love rivalry + everyone falls for her]
When a top streamer vanished at the last minute, Chu Zhaomi was shoved into the livestream studio.
Everyone was waiting for her to embarrass herself in front of the crowd.
Instead, in front of hundreds of thousands of viewers, she tore up the script and switched off the gift challenges. One wildly out-of-control livestream made her an overnight sensation.
But as soon as the stream ended, others took the credit, while she was saddled with all the blame.
Fake private messages, maliciously edited clips, an industry-wide blacklist. Her former company even produced a contract demanding eight million in compensation, forcing her to make a public apology and quit the industry for good.
Everyone thought she was finished.
Chu Zhaomi simply took off her employee badge and said four words:
“Then I quit.”
Nine viewers, one old piece of equipment, and an account the entire industry had written off.
Others relied on their top donors to shower them with money, but she simply shut off the gift channel;
Others bought traffic to manufacture stars, but she broke through the crowd again and again with her content;
Others used contracts to control streamers, but she was determined to give every creator the power to choose.
From a livestream with nine viewers to an internet-wide sensation;
From being driven off the table by capital to building a platform of her own.
Later, the head of a platform, an entertainment conglomerate president, a top lawyer, a world-champion esports player, and a major investor all entered the picture.
They had power, money, and connections, and each wanted to be the most special person by her side.
But Chu Zhaomi had never needed anyone to save her.
She didn’t want to be anyone’s exception, nor did she want to stand behind anyone.
She would prove it with her own hands:
Women don’t have to wait to be chosen.
One day, whatever she says will become the new rules of the industry.
