Great Ming: I Saved Empress Ma from the Start, and Zhu Yuanzhang Begged Me to Stay

[Ming Dynasty + Transmigration + Medical Skills That Outclass the Era + Political Survival + Economic Reform + Wish Fulfillment + No Saintly Hero]

Ji Heng, an attending physician in the emergency department, opens his eyes and finds himself transmigrated into the Ming imperial palace in the fifteenth year of Hongwu.

From the start, it's hell difficulty!

Empress Ma has been unconscious with a high fever for seven days and is in respiratory failure. Seventeen imperial physicians kneel outside the Qianqing Palace, waiting to die.

Zhu Yuanzhang rests a hand on his Embroidered Uniform Guard saber, his bloodthirsty eyes sweeping over everyone. “If one more person says she can't be cured, I'll have his entire family beheaded first.”

A deathly silence fills the hall.

Just then, an unknown street doctor, dragged in by the Embroidered Uniform Guards, is shoved into the hall.

His name is Ji Heng.

Everyone expects him to fall to his knees and beg for mercy, but instead he crouches down and lifts Empress Ma's eyelids.

“Her pupils are sluggish in response to light, her jugular veins are distended, and both lungs are full of moist rales. Acute lobar pneumonia, now complicated by sepsis. If we wait another two hours, even the gods won't be able to save her.”

The imperial physicians are stunned.

Zhu Yuanzhang's blade comes to rest against Ji Heng's neck.

Ji Heng remains unfazed. “If Your Majesty wants the empress to live, give me one hour, a large pot, and three jin of strong liquor.”

“Put the blade away first.”

After a textbook-perfect emergency treatment...

Everyone is left speechless.
