The General Star Falls: A Veteran of a Hundred Battles Witnesses the Fall of the Great Ming

An ordinary Liaodong foot soldier leads his brothers through three decades of fighting across the late Ming dynasty.

He witnesses firsthand the fates of six great generals: Xiong Tingbi, Sun Chengzong, Yuan Chonghuan, Lu Xiangsheng, Sun Chuanting, and Hong Chengchou. Capable ministers suffer injustice, loyal commanders die in battle, and fine generals are forced to bow their heads. The stars of the Ming military all fall, one by one.

From the flames of war along the frontier to the smoke of battle across the Central Plains, the boy of old grows into a grizzled veteran in his twilight years.

The dynasty collapses, his brothers perish, and I alone remain to witness the end of the Ming.
