After the Beautiful Prince Fell on Hard Times, His Guard Dropped the Act!

Pampered, Proud Fallen Prince Bottom VS Cold-Faced Guard Top

Shen Xun had barely warmed the throne beneath him before the old emperor set him up.

He was charged with treason and conspiring with the enemy.

His entire household was ruined. He received fifty strokes of the rod, was stripped of his title, demoted to commoner, and exiled to Lingnan.

Overnight, he went from a mighty prince to a convict trudging through the mud.

Some of those around him died; the rest fled or kept their distance.

Only his guard, Yan Hui, stayed.

With nothing but his own two legs and a rickety old handcart,

he dragged the half-paralyzed Shen Xun all the way to Lingnan.

Shen Xun had always believed Yan Hui's loyalty to him was beyond question.

Though the man often annoyed him,

and Shen Xun himself frequently beat and berated him,

he just couldn't imagine anyone in the world being more loyal to him than Yan Hui.

Until one day, he realized that Yan Hui's loyalty wasn't the kind he'd thought.

The man had wanted him from the very beginning.

And had been lusting after him right under his nose for years!!!
