Zhou Yang
volunteers for the post,
and is parachuted into the poorest, most deeply entrenched county in the province to serve as acting county magistrate.
As soon as he arrives, he’s greeted with a “welcome banquet” designed to put him in his place.
But he remains calm, patient, and meticulous.
By tackling thorny problems such as unsold crops and unfinished road projects,
Zhou Yang gradually wins people over and breaks through the local web of relationships.
Watch him carve out a path to the top all his own!
