The Heaven-Piercing Sacrificial Well, a forbidden place for ten thousand years.
Deep in the Forgotten Snowfield, a colossal well built of obsidian squats upon the earth. Its walls are covered in ancient sacrificial inscriptions that glow with an eerie blue light. Beneath the well, the young Wu Yaobin has been imprisoned since childhood. He knows neither where he came from nor where he is going. Strange, dark-red shamanic markings cover his arms and calves. Every inch they spread brings searing pain that feels as if it is scorching his bones.
Then Guo Xiaolei falls from the sky.
"Nine-Turn God-Sealing Shamanic Markings," Guo Xiaolei says, staring at the patterns on his arm. "The highest sealing art of the Shaman Clan, lost for ten thousand years. Only the legendary Ancestral Spirit would be worthy of this seal. A complete ancient Ancestral Spirit is sealed inside you."
Wu Yaobin is the sacrificial offering the Shaman Clan has awaited for ten thousand years. The day the Ancestral Spirit's power is fully unsealed will be the day he is sacrificed. But the skinny boy only gazes up at the tiny patch of gray-white light at the well's mouth, a flame burning quietly in the depths of his dark-gold eyes.
"And what if I refuse to be that sacrifice?"
From the Heaven-Piercing Sacrificial Well to the Myriad Worlds, from an imprisoned child of taboo to the chosen one who commands the fate of the Shaman Clan. The sacrificial inscriptions decree his destiny, but he intends to rewrite it with his own hands. The shamanic markings lock away the secrets of heaven, so he will shatter those chains.
Ten thousand years of silence, overturned in a single day. Dark-gold eyes open, shamanic markings awaken. Wu Yaobin's path to rising above his fate begins at this forgotten sacrificial well. Watch as he tears apart his destiny, tramples the wasteland, and writes the character for "Shaman" anew above all the heavens.
