Please Keep Your Life Original

After disaster strikes again, humanity uses “originality scores” to regulate marriage, education, healthcare, and identity. If the causal chains of two lives become too similar, the later person is deemed a duplicate by reality itself and erased. Shen Yan, a low-level originality editor, unexpectedly receives a warning that he will die in seventy-two hours and discovers he is copying the life of someone not yet born. To survive, he investigates a series of duplicate deaths and breaks into the black market for prototypes, joining forces with Zhou Jianwei, an originality checker who strictly upholds order; Ruan Chu, a radical reenactor; He, a girl with no origin; and Su Die, whose identity is shrouded in mystery. As the city's overlapping shadows draw closer, Shen Yan must accept that true difference is not a change of clothes or a reworded sentence. It is someone willing to bear the cost of making an informed choice. This mystery-driven story explores conflicts within the system and asks: when uniqueness becomes a privilege, do people condemned to repeat still have the right to live as themselves?
