Synopsis

I am Niu Wa. The story is a first-person look back at the years in the remote countryside of southwestern Shandong in the 1980s. My father, Uncle Lao Gen, and my mother, Cuiying, dragged my three sisters and me together as a young child. In the ordinary farmhouse fireworks, we talked about flesh and blood, young love, and simple friendship. With the tide of the times, the landscape of the village has quietly changed. The three generations of our ancestors, fathers, and us are constantly colliding and pulling together in the new and old concepts. My father's persistence and love for the land caused rural youth to move to the city and left the land uncultivated.
