Lu Zhao was a die-hard Ultraman fan. One day, as he was hoping to revisit the classics, an antique disc and an old DVD player sent him to a world with monsters but no Ultraman.
Without Ultraman, humanity in this world took the same path as in Pacific Rim, relying on steel giants to fight off the invaders.
As a transmigrator, he spent twenty years running a secondhand bookstore on this Ultraman-less planet. His biggest adventures were haggling with suppliers and helping his pretty tenant catch mice.
