Su Xian died.
A crate of air conditioners fell from the sky and sent this lazy fish on his way. All he’d wanted was to open a little convenience store, lounge around with the AC on and drink iced tea until old age.
When he opened his eyes again, he was floating in a sea of gray mist. He casually picked up a monk who was floating nearby to keep him company. After a little chatting, he realized: no way, this bald monk kept saying “This humble monk” and “My disciple Sun Wukong.” Was he actually Tang Sanzang?!
The strangest part was yet to come. When the gray mist dispersed, the two of them dropped right in front of a massive convoy. A blackwood imperial carriage, six horses drawing it, and armored soldiers lined up like a forest. A long spear flashed up to Su Xian’s neck.
Su Xian was completely dumbfounded. Where the heck had he ended up?
The guard sneered. “This is Great Qin. We are the convoy accompanying the emperor on his eastern tour.”
Great Qin. Eastern tour. The emperor.
A chill crept up the back of Su Xian’s neck. He clearly remembered what the history books said: this emperor, the greatest in a thousand generations, was going to die on this very eastern tour.
And he was just a deliveryman who couldn’t even truss a chicken, with a Tang Sanzang in his arms who was full of thoughts about “saving all sentient beings” and wouldn’t stop preaching to everyone he met...
Su Xian was on the verge of tears. All I wanted was to lie flat. Can someone tell me, between this living relic and this emperor of the ages, which one am I supposed to deal with first?
The two worlds are connected, and the protagonist is the middle one. It is interesting. It is meaningless to write it now.
