I Suppress the Heavenly Abyss Through Nine Lifetimes

A hundred thousand years ago, Dao Ancestor Xuanyuan transformed his body into an abyss to build the Heavenly Abyss Barrier, suppressing the demonic tide beyond the realm and thwarting the upper realm's ambition to harvest fortune. He laid out a scheme spanning nine lifetimes, waiting for someone who could break the deadlock. The Lin family of the Great Xia Northern Garrison Army was falsely accused of colluding with demons and wiped out. Their orphan, Lin Xuan, lay low as a penal laborer in the Qingyun Sect until he unexpectedly awakened the ancestral Abyssguard Seal and unlocked the legacy of nine divided souls. Rising against the odds from the outer sect tournament, he investigates the injustice against his family, roots out demonic infiltrators in the sect, and protects Qingyun's formation core. Together with the saintess Su Qingyuan, he ventures deeper step by step, ultimately uncovering the truth behind the demons' origins and the upper realm's ten-thousand-year conspiracy to harvest fortune. The cycle of nine lifetimes must eventually end, but a single resolve to guard the abyss endures through the ages. Bearing the duty of protecting the Way in a mortal body and safeguarding the lives of all beings with a compassionate heart, he finally escapes the celestial game and wins true freedom and peace for the people of the lower realm.
