Choosing the Wrong Empire

[Heartbreaking Love + The Long Road to Winning Him Back] The Crown Prince Sheng Xuan of the Sheng Kingdom and the general Xiao Wuming fell in love. The emperor ordered the crown prince to choose between the throne and Xiao Wuming. The crown prince chose the throne, and the emperor granted Xiao Wuming a favor. Xiao Wuming asked to be named the Carefree Prince, so he could travel the land and stay out of government affairs.

After ascending the throne, the crown prince grew more and more consumed by thoughts of the Carefree Prince, until longing made him ill. His gloom, obsession, and pain turned him into a tyrant: a merciless killer, cold and ruthless!

In the end, he imprisoned the Carefree Prince at his side and spent every day entwined with him. When the Carefree Prince fell ill and died, the emperor was overcome with grief.

The following year, after the joint imperial tomb was built, the emperor passed away.
