[Infinite flow + Reality-altering anomalies + Survival battles + Rule-based mission zones + No romance]
When the closing announcement sounded, twenty-seven people were trapped in the exhibition hall.
Before the third announcement ended, everyone had to obtain a valid visitor pass and leave through the front entrance.
Cross the yellow line, and you die.
Take the wrong pass, and you die.
Answer the “staff member” in the corridor, and you die just the same.
Li Buyan, a nondestructive testing engineer, relied on his understanding of structures, traces, and danger zones to make it out alive.
But after returning to reality, he saw this in the anomaly registry:
[The mission zone is still active.]
[Personnel who failed to leave the zone have been registered as new staff members.]
The people who couldn’t get out hadn’t disappeared.
They had become the exhibition hall’s new security guards, docents, and maintenance workers.
Three days later, no one was ringing the temple bell, but the black glaze in the stone lion’s mouth stirred once more.
This time, Li Buyan was thrown into an ancient city being massacred.
There were no rules he could repeatedly reason through.
There was no absolutely safe zone.
There were only ten days, hunger, thirst, cavalry hunting down survivors, and an exit that opened for just ten breaths at midnight on the tenth day.
Exhibition halls, ancient cities, workshops, ferry crossings…
Reality was constantly generating new instances.
At first, Li Buyan only wanted to get out alive.
Later, however, he discovered that the “locals” in the instances weren’t NPCs who could be abandoned at will. What was called clearing a level might simply mean the System allowed participants to escape alone.
And deep in every mission record, the same words were written:
[Current world: Not yet cleared.]
Once the deadline passed, the next mission would be random, and its difficulty would double.
And this world had only just begun to overlap with them.
