Endfield: Burn Me as Fuel

(Ensemble cast) (So much angst) (There should be some heartwarming moments ≽^⚈⩊⚈^≼)

Lin Baimu transmigrates into a world being consumed by angels and becomes the chief instructor at Yinglong Pass, trapped in a broken body ravaged by the battlefield since she was eleven and crippled by terminal Oripathy.

She says she wants to go home. But her family in her old world is nothing but a distant shadow she can never reach in her dreams, while her family here is slipping away one by one: her uncle died in action, her mother succumbed to illness, and the children who call her “big sis” are just as impossible to hold on to.

So she stays at the research station, searching for a way home while making this place her second home, guarding the Si Rang, the Celestials, and the children at the Sword Discussion Hall who call her “teacher.”

But when memories that aren't hers, an old pact with the Administrator, and the Si Rang director who always watches her in silence... all begin to surface, she finally understands:

“Going home” was never just about returning to a place.
