Unlike the original story, after Yang Jian pinned the Starved Ghost down with a coffin nail, an unknown ghost crawled into its body and took its place. Under the coffin nail's influence, the ghost that had replaced the Starved Ghost unexpectedly gained a will of its own. Now that it has its own will, the Starved Ghost will weigh this supernatural age in the balance.
