[This story features a hard science fiction setting, with no golden finger, supernatural powers, or System]
On the day the World War broke out, seventeen-year-old Yang Shuo learned that the nations were not fighting to win. They were fighting to convince the observers deep in the universe that humanity was still foolish and divided, and not worth erasing.
At the same time, higher-dimensional fragments spread across the cities, and monsters could bypass walls and attack from inside the human body. To rescue his trapped younger sister, Yang Shuo took a bracelet from the corpse of an alien being and stepped into the fourth direction for the first time.
But the more humanity relies on higher-dimensional technology, the more conspicuous Earth becomes.
When the fifth dimension begins choosing outcomes, the sixth starts rewriting rules, and the seventh begins deleting history, Yang Shuo must answer one question:
If civilization can survive only by giving up freedom and humanity, is that future still worth saving?
The setting is very novel, and the pace in the early stages is a bit slow, but it's still very good.
It's very well written. It's a refreshing experience. It's very interesting.
