The Whole Dance Academy Starves for the Scales, but I Eat Like Crazy Without Gaining Weight

On monthly weigh-in day at Jingbei Secondary School of Dance, all the girls in the building were so hungry their faces had gone pale. Xia Yuanqi was the only one who walked into the testing room carrying cream puffs.

Lin Weiwei challenged her in front of everyone, demanding to know how she dared dye her hair, get her nails done, and eat desserts whenever she wanted. Xia Yuanqi didn’t argue. She passed the morning weigh-in with ease, then performed four dances in the afternoon and took first place by fifteen points.

Everyone thought she was just lucky, until she won the national gold medal and was admitted to Jingbei International Dance Academy at sixteen, an exception to the rules.

On the bigger stage, mishaps kept piling up: damaged dance costumes, music suddenly cut off, and performance slots stolen from her. Others starved themselves for a chance. She was determined to eat well and win.

And Xia Lijing, who had protected her since she was eight, gradually found it harder to hide the love he had carried for her for twelve years, through one rumor and crisis after another.

Later, Xia Yuanqi wouldn’t just aim to take first place. She would make sure every girl who loved dancing could eat well and stand proudly onstage.
