You’re Fighting for the Throne as the Eldest Son of a Concubine? Then What About Me, the Top Scholar in Both Civil and Martial Arts?

[Imperial Examinations + Revenge + Political Intrigue + No System]

Because Lin Nishi was an idle good-for-nothing, people questioned whether he was truly of the bloodline of the Northern Marquis's household. An investigation revealed that he really was a fake young master, so he was cast out of the marquis's estate. With the name Nishi left behind, the world gained Lin Jing, a military household's son who excelled in both letters and arms, a young poetic sage.

After awakening memories of his past life, Lin Jing embarks on the path of the imperial examinations. The world mocks, scorns, envies, and resents him; the marquis's household blocks, laughs at, berates, and tries to kill him. Yet his determination to make something of himself never wavers. As he alternates between the military and civil examinations, the world gains not only a poetic sage, but also a double champion who takes top honors in both.

The waters surrounding the Northern Marquis's household run deeper than he imagined. In the end, Lin Jing relies on his extraordinary intelligence to uncover the mystery of his birth and reclaim everything that should have been his.

Lin Jing enters officialdom with the distinction of being champion in both the civil and military examinations. With a pen, he can bring peace to the realm; on horseback, he can conquer it. His grandfather is the Northern Marquis, a fearsome god of war who commands a great army. Thus the Great Wu Dynasty gains a prince who leads the cabinet, also known as the most powerful minister in Great Wu.
