[Reborn + obsessive love + pretending to be obedient + redemption + both virgins + villain] (Sweet-faced but scheming, unhinged princess vs. black-hearted, white-livered, jealous, devoted guard dog)
Chang’an thought she was the happiest princess in the world. Her mother doted on her, her brothers protected her, and her days were sweet as honey.
Then she met a man dressed all in black. He said he was there to kill her.
Strangely, she wasn’t afraid at all. In fact, she thought, What took you so long?
Stranger still, she kept dreaming of the same scene: someone gripping a knife and plunging it into her heart. Yet she said, “I don’t blame you.”
Who was messing with her? Were these her memories?
The person in the dream suddenly became Shen Zhi. Now dressed in red, his eyes and brows full of laughter, he leaned over and pinned her to the bed, calling her “Wife” again and again.
Before she could recover from her dizzying desire, the knife came again.
Chang’an exploded. “Who keeps messing with my dreams? When I catch them, I’ll tear them to shreds.”
But worst of all, the man who called her “Wife” in her dreams was now wrapping his arms around her waist from behind. His thin lips brushed her earlobe, his voice low and burning:
“Wife, does it still hurt?”
“Since you’re awake, shall we do it again? I’ll be gentler.”
Chang’an: “...You said you were going to kill me. This is how you do it?”
His Adam’s apple bobbed as he bent toward her. “I can’t bear to.”
