Some Rumors About Changkong City

There is nothing special about Changkong City. I have said this to many people. I tell my classmates in college, my colleagues, and people from other places who ask me where my hometown is. But that's not true. There are some things in Changkong City that I have not told anyone. As a child I thought these things were normal. Every city has a river that cannot be approached, an orchard that cannot be entered, and a cabinet that cannot be opened. Every city has some questions that are not allowed to be asked, and corners that children are not allowed to approach. I thought this was how the world worked - everything was normal on the surface, but secretly a lot of things were happening quietly. Later, I grew up and left Changkong City. Went to the south and many other places. I began to realize that these things were not available elsewhere. In other words, there are other versions elsewhere. People everywhere feel that their city is normal. So there is nothing special about Changkong City. It's just like everywhere, there are some abnormal [cracks] underneath the normal surface.
