On the night of the palace coup, the fussy palace maid Ye Lu grabs the emperor’s grandson and runs for her life, accidentally winning the loyalty of ten thousand eagles. Her calculating best friend grows jealous and plots against her, while a loyal general falls for her and follows her faithfully. She refuses to marry or follow anyone, determined instead to build a new world of her own. Amid laughter and chaos, she creates a free new city. Hardship reveals true feelings, and she lives life on her own terms.
