He planned to complete the Pacifist Route, save everyone, and then leave.
But he discovered that Frisk was trapped in countless loops on the Neutral Route, so numb that even resetting had become mere muscle memory.
And Chara, who had been lurking inside her all along as a "narrator," was waiting for the right moment to take everything away.
Yan and Frisk began the Pacifist Route, and the barrier had already cracked open---
But at the last moment, Chara forcibly took control of Frisk's soul and pressed [RESET], erasing everything from the Pacifist Route completely.
But Yan was a "variable" from outside the world, so the reset had no effect on him.
Standing in the golden flower patch where it all began, he faced Chara and the massacre she was about to begin---
