Northern Myanmar: Rescuing the Conglomerate Heiress

Xiao Chen is a hardened man who has spent years living by the blade in the Golden Triangle. He has witnessed countless horrific tragedies inside the scam compounds. A domestic corporate executive goes to great lengths to track him down and offers him a fortune to rescue his biological daughter, who was kidnapped and taken to a telecom fraud compound. The reward is a full ten million yuan, and before the job is even done, he pays a million as an advance. The generous offer prompts Xiao Chen to accept this near-impossible rescue mission on the spot. Using his familiarity with the compound’s layout, he slips past armed patrols and sneaks into the area where the hostages are held. But when he takes out the photo to compare, he realizes that the battered woman in the iron cage, covered in wounds and barely breathing, is not the heiress he came to find. Xiao Chen plans to retreat as originally intended, but the woman in the cage desperately calls out to him, weakly begging him to help. On one side is a ten-million-yuan contract agreed in advance, with his reputation on the line; on the other is a living person on the brink of despair. The guards’ boots echo closer down the hallway, and time is running out. Should he keep his promise or make an exception to save her? At the crossroads of good and evil, money and conscience, Xiao Chen faces a difficult choice.
