Journey to the West: Don’t Call Me the Great Sage Who Pacifies the Heavens, Call Me Landlord

After transmigrating into Journey to the West as the Bull Demon King, he's about to be recruited as Sun Wukong's sworn brother, setting off a disastrous, death-seeking side quest as the Great Sage Who Pacifies the Heavens. His wife gets manipulated by the Buddhist realm, his son is abducted by Guanyin to work as a child laborer, and he's supposed to be beaten up by the gods and turned into a mount? What nonsense! Whoever wants to rebel can go do it themselves!

“Ding! The Myriad Realms Landlord System is now bound.”

Sun Wukong: “Big Brother, join me in rebelling against the Heavenly Court!”

The Bull Demon King quietly takes out an overdue bill. “Monkey, you can rebel against Heaven, but shouldn't you settle three hundred years of property management and security fees for Flower-Fruit Mountain?”

From then on, the tone of Journey to the West changes completely. The Heavenly Court comes to suppress the rebels? Pay the landing pad rental fee. Guanyin makes a move? Pay ten times the cost for the landscaping damage at Thunderclap Mountain! When the scripture-seeking team reaches Flaming Mountain, they don't face a fearsome demon king, but a bull-headed man holding a POS machine.

“Reverend Tang, QR code or cash? If you don't pay the toll, even the Buddha won't get through!”
