Freshman Lin Jianxia just wanted to keep his work-study position, but he found an unusual old registration book at the lost and found point on campus that was about to be shut down.
The recurring "R17", the last page that disappeared out of thin air, the paper and system records that were seventeen minutes apart, and the old items that were returned anonymously all pointed to the campus incident that was hastily closed many years ago.
In order to preserve the return point and prevent innocent people from continuing to bear the stigma, Lin Jianxia and his partners reconstructed the truth from the wear and tear of the items, delivery routes, receipt records and binding traces. However, the closer they get to the answer, the more they find that it is not difficult to return an item. What is really difficult is to return a person's innocence while keeping the privacy that should not be disclosed.
When evidence finally points to someone they know, they must make a choice - reveal the whole truth, or only tell what can be proven?
This is a campus reality suspense without supernatural and violence. It is also a story about responsibility, trust and common growth of a group of young people.
