Night Shift at the Funeral Home: I Can See the Countdown to Death

I fell behind on my online loan payments and, with nowhere else to turn, took a night-shift security job at a funeral home.

On my first day, I noticed a string of numbers floating over everyone's head: a countdown to death.

The grieving family members, my coworkers on duty, even... the bodies in the morgue.

The director said I was a special talent and offered me an extra five thousand a month to work as an external consultant.

I waved him off. “No, no. I'm just a security guard.”

That is, until the Seven Sorrows Cult came after us and Old Chen was badly wounded.

I took off my security uniform and raised my eyes.

The numbers above every evil spirit in the funeral home all began counting down at once.
