[Happy ending, infinite flow, suspense, devoted to each other, pure love] (I'm busy with school and struggling to keep up. I'm not happy with this story; the writing isn't good.)
This is a very old videotape. Dust has obscured the numbers and year written on it, making them impossible to read.
“My husband has been acting strange lately…”
“His body is always cold. He never wears shoes, either. But he used to care a lot about his appearance. When he stood at the doorway to see me off to work, his feet never crossed the threshold…”
The young man on screen counts on his fingers as he speaks slowly.
The tape shows a young man confessing in front of a camera. He seems very uneasy, looking anxiously all around him.
“Bzzzt…” The tape crackles.
Perhaps afraid the viewer will think he's mentally ill, he waves his hands and hurriedly says, “Everyone around me thinks I'm crazy, but I know I'm not lying!”
Then he clutches his head, utterly distraught. “In the mirror, his feet point the wrong way. Our marriage certificate turned into a death certificate. Every morning, he gives me pills, and after I swallow them, I always forget things…”
“Could it all just be my imagination…?”
He murmurs to himself.
At the end of the video, the man turns around as if startled. A white figure flashes past behind him.
The tape cuts off abruptly.
To get closer to the truth he seeks, Jiang Wei can only keep starting over.
When the cicadas sing seven days from now, will he be able to find the answer?
