A Thought, a Void Born

One morning, everyone working in the entertainment industry woke up to find themselves dragged into a real-life livestreamed battle royale called “City of Shadow Ruins.”

A hundred people on one stage. Every revelation became a trial, and survival depended entirely on the audience’s will.

Lin Zhan, a bottom-rung screenwriter, had no supernatural powers or golden finger. All she had was the worldly savvy she’d gained from drinking and burning the midnight oil, and her insight into human nature.

The eerie nine-tier mirage tower and deadly dungeons arrived one after another. In this livestream of life and death, allies could turn against you at any moment, and justice was stained with blood.

When the hatred that capital had once crushed into the past resurfaced, the game of ordinary people began.

There are no absolute allies here, only competing interests and schemes at every turn.

Lin Zhan uses her drunkard’s constitution to break through illusions and her screenwriter’s mindset to unravel dungeon schemes. Under the pressure of despair, she begins her path to being “made into a god.”

A group of people fighting to survive band together, grow suspicious of one another, and resist, searching for a way to stay alive in a killing game.

No romance, no miraculous salvation.

With the shackles of “god-making” around her, she refuses to become the god the audience expects. All she wants is to hold on to her humanity and fight for a way out.
