Report, Your Highness: The Princess Consort Has Returned from the Modern World

Leng Jiyue unexpectedly finds herself transported to the Great Xia dynasty. With no golden finger and no distinguished family background, she relies solely on her knowledge from the future to enter the Ministry of Works, where she is surrounded by men.

She devotes herself to improving papermaking techniques and settling displaced artisans, hoping to tangibly improve ordinary people’s lives and carve out a place for herself amid the constraints of court politics.

The great clans are rife with undercurrents. Su Wenjin, an ambitious scholar from a humble family, devises a vicious scheme to frame Pei Yunshu, daughter of the Pei family, using a woman’s virtue as a bargaining chip to curry favor with the powerful.

Leng Jiyue has no intention of getting involved in the great clans’ household feuds. But when she sees women trapped by rumors and callously manipulated, she ultimately cannot stand by and do nothing.

At court, she works alongside the calm and reserved Xiao Heting several times. Their relationship begins with official business and gradually grows into mutual respect and understanding. There is no love at first sight, dramatic and overwhelming, only a steady, growing appreciation for each other.

Everyday life brings the warmth of companionship at home, while times of trouble see women supporting one another.

She seeks neither power over the court nor fame. She only hopes to protect the everyday lives of her people and uphold the principles in her heart through her own efforts.
