Great Ming: Cloud-Somersault from the Start, and Old Zhu Begs Me for a Ride

In the tenth year of Hongwu, Zhu Yuanzhang was exhausted from reviewing memorials while hunched over his desk. His back ached, and he lamented that poor transport made it difficult to deliver decrees. Just moments earlier, the idle sixth prince, Zhu Yu, had been testing the Mythical System he had just awakened in the imperial garden. “Watch me ride the Somersault Cloud!” Whoosh! Zhu Yu flipped through the air and covered 54,000 kilometers in a single somersault, circling the sky above Yingtian Prefecture in an instant. Old Zhu, heading out of the palace, happened to see the whole thing. His eyes lit up. “One somersault takes you 54,000 kilometers? If I had that ability, Northern Yuan would be nothing! Yu’er, teach your dad!” [Ding! Hongwu Emperor mission triggered!] [Rewards: Seventy-Two Transformations, high-yield immortal rice seeds, spirit-powered firearms blueprints...] And so, the entire Ming Dynasty took on a very different character. The border is under attack? Zhu Yu rides the clouds over there, and heavenly fire rains down to burn through Northern Yuan’s camp! The Jiangnan region is in a severe drought? Zhu Yu summons wind and rain, and a million refugees kneel, crying out to the Dragon God! Zhu Biao: “The sixth prince is a true immortal descended to earth. You must take the throne!” Zhu Di: “Sixth Brother, I’ll follow you to the ends of the world and fight!” Zhu Yuanzhang: “My good son, how about taking your dad for a spin through the sky today? I’ll pass the throne on to you!”
