Urban fantasy, comedy, face-slapping reversals, and heartwarming everyday life
“Boss, why does your stinky tofu smell like a sewer but taste like heaven?”
“Boss, your extra-spicy skewers were so hot I almost grabbed myself by the throat, but why does my neck feel so much better?!”
“Boss, after working overtime for three days straight, I was about to drop dead. But after finishing your bowl of insane sour soup, I can climb ten flights of stairs without stopping?!”
Faced with his customers’ wild complaints and growing addiction, Lin Yifei could only sigh helplessly.
He was a thirty-year-old guy with a million in savings, sunk deep in nihilism and ready to lie flat and wait for death. How had he been forced into becoming a miracle-working doctor who saved overworked wage slaves?
This damnable Gourmet Assassin System only made bizarre dishes with extreme flavors and a dramatic contrast between smell and taste!
But when he saw the customers shed their weariness and rekindle hope after eating, Lin Yifei suddenly felt that the rest of his life spent lying flat might not be so boring after all.
I didn't think this book was particularly good at first, but as I was reading it, it suddenly disappeared, and I was surprised to realize that I had been reading it for a long time. I wanted to go back and read other books, but suddenly I felt a little boring. My mind is completely blank now and I can't think properly. How did a mediocre and rather short systematic article (actually I prefer to call it a daily article, after all, there is basically no plot to pretend to be 13 in the face), make me feel disappointed when reading the fragments? If you don't understand it, forget about it and just give it five stars.
