A thousand years ago, humanity was called ignorant. They worshiped as gods the things they could not understand. They did not understand lightning, or why a dazzling ball of light always hung in the sky. And so, many gods were born.
A hundred years ago, humanity began to embrace reason and gain wisdom. They proudly believed they could understand everything in the world. But they failed.
Now, we can proudly announce that this wise and powerful organization has begun to understand these damn things: things that cannot be explained by common sense, by science, or even by all the known history and possible future of intelligent beings.
We contain them, we protect them, we use them, and we execute them.
