One forty-seven in the morning.
The entire office building was as quiet as a tomb, except for the fluorescent lamp above my desk that was still buzzing. It was already dark around, and all the other colleagues had left at six o'clock. Only a low-level copywriter like me had to catch up on the manuscripts requested by Party A.
I rubbed my sore eyes, saved the document, and turned off the computer.
There was a clicking sound in my neck when I stood up, and my whole body felt like there was lead in the bones. After working overtime for thirteen days in a row, I felt like I was almost like the A4 paper spit out from the printer, pale, thin, and easily torn into pieces.
I'm too lazy to turn off the lights in the office because I have to come tomorrow anyway. I carried my bag and took the stairs downstairs.
When I walked to the elevator, I pressed the down button. The red arrow on the metal panel lit up and made a dinging sound.
The door opened.
The light in the elevator was brighter than that in the corridor, and it was pale, making everything inside particularly clear.
A woman stood inside.
She was wearing red high heels and a dark suit, her hair was disheveled, and she was looking at her phone with her head down. The light from the screen reflected on her face, making it difficult to see her appearance clearly.
I was stunned for a moment and stepped in without thinking much. People who work overtime until early in the morning meet overtime dogs who share the same problem. This feeling is actually quite friendly.
I reached out to press the button for the first floor. When I glanced at the floor panel with my peripheral vision, my fingers suddenly froze.
Minus 18th floor.
This building only has 15 floors.
I was startled, as if something in my mind was suddenly awakened. No, did I remember it wrong? Impossible. I have been working in this building for two years and take the elevator every day. The third underground floor is the garage, which is the negative 3rd floor.
What the hell is the minus 18th floor?
I turned my head and glanced out of the corner of my eye~~
