[Criminal investigation + suspense + serial crimes + ensemble cast + shadowy organization]
A torrential downpour. A suitcase abandoned on the riverbank. Inside lies the headless body of a man.
A fake wedding ring, a mysterious leaf, fragments of medical gloves, and a black-clad figure pushing a cart before vanishing into the rainy night on security footage. Detective Gu Yan realizes this is no ordinary case of corpse dumping.
As the investigation deepens, one seemingly unrelated case after another emerges: disappearances, kidnappings, human experiments, identity swaps, locked-room murders...
Behind every killer, it seems, stands the same invisible organization: "The Abyss."
They study fear, manipulate desire, and treat human nature as experimental material.
Gu Yan and his team must do more than catch the criminals. They must also find the truth buried beneath countless lies and falsified evidence.
The headless body in the rainy night is only the first file.
The real abyss has only just opened.
