If you could bring a weapon from an anime in your previous life into the world of Hunter x Hunter, what would you choose?
A divine weapon that stops time?
A holy sword that lets you resurrect infinitely?
Or an ultimate weapon that can destroy the world in a single strike?
Lin Ye’s answer was: none of those things are possible.
Nen Ability has never been a wish-granting machine. The more powerful the effect, the stricter the conditions, the greater the aura required, and the clearer the logic behind its realization must be. A fantasy whose price you cannot pay can never become reality.
So Lin Ye created “Phantom Armaments.”
Choose a fictional weapon, strip away the power system of its original work, and keep only one core combat concept. Then, through design, restrictions, training, and long-term infusion, forge it into a Nen Ability weapon that truly belongs to you.
First Phantom Armament: White Night.
Inspired by the Divine Spear, it has neither a blade spirit nor soul attacks. Its sole ability is to extend and retract its blade at high speed in a straight line.
Simple, and therefore deadly.
A sudden change in attack range, thrusts faster than ordinary people can react to, and a second-stage killing move hidden within a real wound: Core Burial.
Of course, each armament permanently occupies a limited amount of capacity; the stronger the weapon, the greater the cost of developing it; and once an armament is finalized, it can never be changed.
A design flaw could ruin the future.
Leaked intelligence could also render a killing move completely useless.
This is the story of a Nen Ability genius who uses fantasies from another world as blueprints to forge his own power in the world of Hunter x Hunter.
And his first test blade is the Black Tide Society, the group that drove his predecessor to his death, murdered his parents, and is even preparing to raze the entire old apartment building!
It's so well written, here comes another ✍🏻 fan who hasn't read the original work. Here comes the protagonist who can use Nen Qi while using Zetsu. If the leader knew you knew how to do this, he wouldn't have needed to find a Nen Qi master. He would have learned it directly from you.
It's okay, but author, you should speed up the development of the protagonist's abilities.
The subject matter is novel, but unfortunately I feel the combat aspect is not tight enough.
