I'm a Contractor, and I'm Building Batteries to Rule the World

[Rise of a great nation] + [Technology makes the nation strong] + [Cutting-edge technology]

Chen Qiao falls from the twenty-third floor, but instead of dying, he returns to April 12, 2008, the afternoon that changed his life.

In his previous life, he rose from construction contractor to “Mr. Chen.” He poured five years of hard work into a battery-materials laboratory, but died before he could overcome the final manufacturing hurdle. In this life, blue light bursts through his mind: the cutting-edge technology System activates, and the complete lithium iron phosphate synthesis process, along with a list of pilot-line equipment, appears crystal clear before him.

He knows Runfa Real Estate is about to run out of cash, so he changes the contract and saves his uncle’s company. He remembers the winning numbers for the Double Color Ball lottery, turning ten yuan into four million in startup capital. He also knows that Lehman Brothers will collapse in five months, and a four-trillion-yuan infrastructure plan is about to be announced.

While everyone else waits for the next big opportunity, he buys it up in advance.

From an eighty-square-meter rented laboratory in Hefei to becoming a benchmark in China’s power-battery industry; from lithium iron phosphate to solid-state and sodium-ion batteries; from grid-scale energy storage to low-orbit satellites, from rockets to lunar landings… One battery will eventually burn through the boundaries of the universe.
