Back to 2009: The Suit-Wearing Bruiser Crushes the Competition in Business

Su Chen, Wall Street’s undefeated lawyer, unexpectedly wakes up as the new boss of Songjiang’s largest underground society in 2009.

From the start, it’s hell mode: a bitter rival is outside, coming to seize his territory with knives; inside, illiterate underlings want to overthrow him; and the crackdown on organized crime is just around the corner!

Su Chen gives a cold laugh and calls 110, sending all the troublemakers in the gang straight to jail to boost his stats.

Then he flings a thick copy of the Criminal Law at the thousands of burly men left behind, all trembling with fear:

“The times have changed! Starting today, get those tattoos removed, switch to bespoke suits, and gear up with high-definition body cameras!”

“Collecting protection money? So low-class! You’re all going into online marketing! The debt collection team is being reassigned to distressed-asset acquisitions. Anyone who fails the bar exam by the end of the month has to copy the Labor Law a hundred times!”

And so, an utterly bizarre business empire is born.

During a food-delivery price war, rival companies see thousands of suited tough guys outside their doors, bowing at a ninety-degree angle with benevolent smiles, and flee the market overnight in terror.

When Wall Street shorts his company, Su Chen brings his legal team to wage a perfectly legal “physical business war” against the financial tycoons.

Years later, Su Chen becomes the world’s richest man. Facing a livestream watched by the entire internet, he gives an exasperated shrug:

“It’s just business. What’s wrong with bringing a few bodyguards? Accusing me of being involved in organized crime? That’s slander! We’re clearly the world’s most law-abiding model company!”
