Infinite Escape? Let Me Make Soup First

[Goofy Heroine] [Stone-Faced Enforcer] [Food Business] [Farming] [Infinite Flow] [Laid-Back Daily Life] [Wilderness Survival]

When other people enter the Abyss game: they scream, huddle together, and fight for their lives.

When An Xia enters the Abyss game: wild game is everywhere, spices are growing all around. What a waste not to stew them into soup.

With a chef’s professional integrity, she carries a huge iron pot on her back and diligently gathers ingredients, turning a terrifying escape game into a wilderness cooking adventure.

While everyone else is trying to escape in terror, all she wants is to turn her little restaurant into a chain across the Abyss.

When people ask her how to clear a level, she timidly raises her hand. “Excuse me, handsome… can I take this monster with me and cook it?”

…

In the instance, she fries spiders in an iron pot, using the very same technique she uses at home to dry sesame seeds and Sichuan peppercorns.

Song Xunye stares in astonishment. “Does drying them really take that much care?”

An Xia answers earnestly, “I have to make sure every insect corpse is heated evenly.”

…

In the observation room.

Xie Linyuan, an Abyss enforcer, watches the monitors and slowly closes his eyes.

Hadn’t he just ordered everyone not to light a fire?

He opens his eyes again: she’s roasting spiders.

He turns off the screen and turns it back on: she’s frying ants.

Xie Linyuan: “…”

…

Xie Linyuan is the embodiment of the Abyss’s rules. He has lived for nearly a century, and as a humanoid intelligence, he has never made a mistake.

He thought he was simply maintaining order.

But he hadn’t realized that the program had begun writing new code of its own.

…

An Xia’s inner monologue: I’m just a chef who takes cooking seriously, so why do I always feel like someone’s watching me from behind?
