In his previous life, Lu Yuan was trapped in the mortal world. He watched evil people run rampant and ordinary folk suffer oppression, leaving him with a deep, lasting regret.
Reborn in the body of a young man, he unexpectedly awakens a one-of-a-kind Book of Karma and unlocks the Spirit Root of Supreme Goodness. He can see the sins of all living beings, and purify evil spirits with karmic fire.
At Soulfall Slope, he breaks through a maze formation. In Miasma-Clearing Forest, he overcomes his inner demons. Alone, he brings down the Blood Fiend Cult's main altar and establishes his foundation on the path to the Dao.
Scions of great clans mock his useless Spirit Root, while heretical cultivators see him as a thorn in their side. But the Great Way of Karma counters all the world's violent impulses and murderous karma.
Upholding the righteous path, bringing peace to the mortal world, and redeeming evildoers across the land, the young man takes one step at a time along his own immortal path of salvation!
