[Ensemble family story + powerful allies + revenge + rise from humble origins: The story moves slowly. The early chapters focus on the protagonists’ growth, and their romantic partners appear in the middle and later parts.]
A power struggle within the imperial clan leaves innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire. The peasant Song family is struck by disaster, and only six young children survive.
The six siblings struggle to survive in the mud, study hard for the imperial exams, and work steadily, making their way from a farming village all the way to the bustling capital.
From a remote village to the very heart of the empire;
From an obscure family of humble origins to the new elite of the court.
The six siblings proceed cautiously, waiting for the right moment to settle old scores and lay to rest the blood feud born of that terrible tragedy.
