The Taoist Nun Comes Down the Mountain with Seven Fiancés

[Cyberpunk spirits and monsters + strong female lead + no romance + episodic stories + satisfying read + metaphysics expert + ghost and demon hunting + strange urban tales] Shen Qingxuan, the top master of the Daoist school, is struck back down to the human world by heavenly lightning when she is just one step away from ascending through her tribulation. Only then does her master confess that, years ago, she arranged betrothals between Shen Qingxuan and seven people with unusual destinies in order to save her life. With her mortal ties unresolved and the immortal sects beyond her reach, Shen Qingxuan has lost all her powers. All she can do is take the marriage contracts, grumble her way down the mountain, find the seven fiancés one by one, and break off the engagements to settle the karmic debts. The domineering CEO caught in an AI murder case, the delivery guy who attracts ghosts, the top-tier star with a lovesick streak cursed by a sasaeng fan, The aloof campus heartthrob caught up in a supernatural school incident, the hot-tempered, righteous detective facing off against a deranged crime boss, the gentle, calculating doctor hiding a secret… Seven bonds, seven tangled fates. With one sword, Shen Qingxuan breaks through all techniques and severs every entangled karmic tie. As for romance? What a joke. I cultivate the Unfeeling Dao. Men only slow down the speed at which I draw my sword. Once I’ve broken off all the engagements, I’ll return to the mountain and prove the Great Dao anew. Those seven fiancés are nothing but passersby in my life.
