Great Qin: The White Deer of Yunmengze Breaks Free from the Execution Ground

The First Emperor flew into a rage, executed the alchemists, and issued an order to kill three kinds of people. Meng Shu and Tian led a hundred soldiers to flatten the grass market in Yunmeng County and behead the swindlers. Before the blood had even dried at the execution ground, a white deer appeared, stepping through the blood with a spirit herb in its mouth, unafraid of blades or soldiers. When the imperial guards ventured deep into Mount Yunmeng, they found countless birds carrying branches to fill the valley, while tigers and wolves walked together with nests in their mouths. At the valley entrance, the Qin people faced off against the outsiders. An alchemist seated at a narrow pass asked Meng Shu and Tian, “Are you hunting a fraud who deceived the emperor, or a vessel chosen by Heaven?”
