A pair of golden scissors that have been missing for eighty years entangles the fates of four generations of barbers.
In 1943, great-grandfather Chen Shouyi fled with the burden of shaving his head, but his love token was taken away. The mute girl Axiu resentfully married someone else, and the whereabouts of the golden scissors have been unknown ever since. A riddle was left on the land deed: "For thirty years, the dragon and the snake have passed away, and the sky is hidden under the barber's chair."
In 2026, Chen Xingye, the fourth generation descendant, held his great-great-grandfather's ox bone comb and experienced tactile sensations in an abandoned state-owned barber shop - blood in 1948, love letters in 1978, short hair in 1997, and tapes in 2003. The love and hate of four generations gradually emerged in the buzz of a pair of scissors.
From Peking to Anyang, from Shenzhen to Milan, golden scissors are hidden in the fabric of the knife, buried in the sandwich of the chair back, and melted into the tip of the embroidery needle. When the three types of wandering sword skills finally came together, Chen Xingye discovered that the land deed did not refer to the land, but a road that could never be completed.
After walking for eighty-three years, only one cut fell. But the moment the scissors returned to their positions, the fifth generation had already grasped the handle.
