The War of Resistance: From the Taihang Mountains to the Sea of Stars

He transmigrates to 1940 and, beneath the Taihang Mountains, becomes a clerk in an Eighth Route Army company headquarters with just three bullets to his name.

A “Road to National Strength System” appears in his mind, with four branches that unlock one by one: military affairs, technology, the economy, and people’s livelihoods.

Win an ambush, and a new tier of equipment unlocks. Build a factory, and a light flickers on. Master a technology, and a new door opens.

From a company clerk with three bullets to a military strategist directing the battle from behind the lines; from guerrilla warfare in the Taihang Mountains to an era of construction filled with the roar of machinery; from a state of utter poverty and ruin to gazing up at the stars and reaching for the cosmos.

He follows a path no one has ever taken. Along the way are gun smoke, sacrifice, brothers, and faith. Every step wins a little more hope for the land beneath his feet.

The road from the Taihang Mountains to the stars is long. But he has never walked it alone.
