You Were Supposed to Sell Air Conditioners, So Why Are You Selling Them to Aliens?

Liang Shuo had been selling air conditioners for three years, but he'd never had a customer this absurd. The customer lived on a planet where the temperature was 83 degrees Celsius and asked if the white machine behind Liang Shuo could save his life. Thinking someone was messing with him, Liang Shuo casually replied: “Just give me an address. I'll find a way to deliver one, even if it's right next to the sun.” The next second, an order from Heluo Star appeared on his phone. But the first air conditioner Liang Shuo delivered burned out less than three seconds after he turned it on. Different voltage, incompatible conditions, alien buildings with no insulation... From the moment he sold that first air conditioner, Liang Shuo had to deal with one problem after another: installation, modifications, shipping, and after-sales service. Later, as air conditioners, refrigerators, cold-storage units, and heat pumps from Earth were shipped into space in batch after batch, Liang Shuo finally realized... The ordinary goods humanity took for granted might be life-saving technology coveted by another civilization. And he, a salesman who'd nearly been fired, became the most sought-after after-sales specialist in the universe.
