The night watchman at the mental hospital discovered that each patient's dream was a real world.
In contemporary China, a second-tier city called "Qingcheng". There is a mental health center on the outskirts of the city that has been built for 40 years - Qingcheng Third People's Hospital, commonly known as the "Third Hospital". Building B of the inpatient department of the Third Hospital has admitted a group of long-term patients. Most of them were diagnosed with schizophrenia, vegetative state or severe narcolepsy and could not be cured after long-term treatment. There is a complete "dream world" sleeping deep in the consciousness of every long-term hospitalized patient - not a ridiculous and broken dream, but an independent small world with physical laws, residents, and civilization. These dream worlds are isolated from each other, like isolated islands floating in the deep sea, but under the surface, they share the same "root system." Ordinary people cannot see these worlds, and only a very small number of special individuals - people called "walkers" - can enter the dreams of others with complete self-awareness after falling asleep.
